Fine porcelain quatrefoil square bowl decorated with panels of hand-painted courting couples alternated with flowers on a pale aquamarine background with gilt borders. Bowl is marked on the underside with a trademark in use between 1876 and 1901. The "T" stands for Carl Thieme, founder of the Potschappel (Germany - Saxony) traditional art porcelain factory that later became the SP Dresden (Saxon Porcelain Manufactory Dresden). A heavy and substantial piece painted with the attention to detail characteristic of an early work. In very good used condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
