Chinese miniature bottle / vessel / jar decorated with an under-the-glaze pattern of small boys at play (also referred to as 100 boys) and a star shape around the neck known as fishbone / rain border. It is marked on the underside with a Kangxi mark and two concentric circles. The mark says Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi meaning Great Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (1662-1722) but we believe it was made late 19th century to early 20th century. The boys-at-play motif decoration in Chinese art is a symbol of male progeny. In very good used condition with crazing and minor imperfections as shown.
