Extraordinary pair of large Art Deco period Dutch Gouda Ivora, rare high glaze, pottery jars / vases / bottles with tapered neck. They are decorated with cherry blossoms outlined in blue with touches of green on freehand painted muted pink / rosy brown / pale violet / indian red ground combined with abstract, geometric, greek wave borders and lines to mouth and base in yellow and blue. Both jars are inscribed on the underside with the model number 214., letter P., "Ivora" Gouda Holland M. We have seen pieces in this decor dated circa 1920 to 1926 and others described as made in the Arts & Crafts style for Liberty & Co., London. The Ivora factory was active in Gouda from 1914 to 1965. In very good used condition with crazing, minor restoration and imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
