Charming faience, shaped rim, wall plate inscribed "Le Pecheur" (The Fisherman) decorated with a stylized Chinoiserie image of a fisherman in brick red on an off-white ground. It is marked on the underside CYPA which stands for Cerámica y Porcelana Argentina. Cypa was a decorative ceramic and porcelain manufacturer who made, with great success, artisan faience in the style of 18th Century Rouen, Lille, Sinceny and similar French faience under French supervision. It comes with factory made perforations on the reverse, ready to display. In good used condition with overall crazing and hairlines as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
