Adorable Royal Copenhagen sculpture / figure of a lying calf by Danish sculptor Gudrun Lauesen (1917-2002) made out of unglazed fired clay / terracotta also referred to as chamotte. A lovely and very expressive rendition of a new born calf. It is signed on the underside with the sculptor's GL Monogram, coded 20491 and marked with the Royal Copenhagen's stoneware and oven proof markings of three incised wavy lines. This is number 27 of a total of a limited edition of 200 copies. A Gudrun Lauesen statuette is part of the collection of the Fyns Kunstmuseum (Odense Bys Museer) in Denmark. In very good condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
