Pair of extraordinary antique Dutch gilt silver vessels elaborately decorated with images of castles and landscapes. We have seen similar items described as Central European Baroque and Tremolierstich (hammer engraving). They are marked on the underside with a single sword and a letter S. A single sword was a post 1814 Dutch silver hallmark guaranteeing a silver fineness of at least 833/1000 and the letter S corresponds to the year 1852 in the Dutch Silver Dating Code. In very good used condition with gilt wear and imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
Measurements: 4.5" diameter, 3.25" tall each.
Weight: Total weight pair = 8.5 ounces (230 grams; one weighs slightly more than the other: 4.5 oz and 4 oz respectively (120 grams and 110 grams) approximately.
