Beautiful Savona Albisola faenza blue and white bowl decorated with a flying cupid with bow and arrow. It is marked on the underside with a blue mark from a pottery established at Albissola near Savona in the early 17th century. Variations of this mark appear in the 1885 J. G. Théodore Graesse book "Archivio della Ceramica Italiana" page 32 under Poterie Majolica Italie, Savona. In very good used condition with minor wear to paint, glaze losses typical of faience and minor imperfections from the time of manufacture as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
