Primitive Yellow Painted Wood Fir Kin Sugar Bucket Folk Art
An old wooden, hand painted Fir-kin sugar bucket. Still retains it's original yellow paint with hand-painted flowers in pinks, blues, violet, green and red, encircling the antique bucket. There was a design painted on top of lid, but has since worn off and can only be faintly seen. Bucket measures 6-1/4 inches tall without lid and 6-1/2 inches with lid. 6-1/2 inches wide at top and 7- inches wide at bottom.
The bands are nice and tight with very light rust on a few staples. Handle works fine. The lids top is loose inside because a nail is missing that holds it in place. ( this can be replaced if wanted ) There are two cracks in lids edge, that I have shown in photo, but in no way takes away from the integrity of this old bucket.
This is just the sweetest old Firkin with it's yellow paint and flowers for use or to just display.
