An unmarked, early 7 inch round A B C plate with pink transfer of a young girl feeding the farm animals inside the barn. Chickens, cows and a sheep. There is a saying on the bottom that says Tis for the fowls and the farm where they dwell. Tis for the girlie who feeds them so well. The first two words of the lines are worn. Also there is glaze ware on the raised points of the letters, the raised rope edge and a few teeny flakes off the center edge where it dips down to the center. No other wear to the transfer or any cracks, crazing. Plate is impressed on the back with 3A4 with what looks like a rectangle with a T.
Even with these issues this is a wonderful antique plate that has survived a lot of years and is very worthy of any collection.
