Here is a pair of beautiful vintage cuff bracelets from Northern Pakistan, with detailed hand-work featuring a `scroll' design with a brass wash and a very generous-sized lapis cabochon set in the centre of each bangle. Using a Troy Test kit, these bracelets test as about .800 silver.
These bangles are in excellent condition. They are quite light in weight – about 72 grams together – which makes them a very comfortable choice for everyday wear. While they are beautiful to look at, they are not as `over the top' in style as some tribal jewellery – again, making them very practical for everyday. These bangles would perhaps not be suitable for a larger wrist, but they are very adjustable and can be easily bent to fit most average wrist sizes, as they are open-backed. The internal diameter is about 2 5/8 inches – but could be adjusted. The width is 1 5/8 inches at the centre front and the lapis cabochons measure 1 1/16 inch across. A gorgeous pair of bracelets!
