This is a lovely rare c1900's antique European 800 silver charm of a trained Dolphin jumping through his hoop and awing the audience! While cetaceans have been held in captivity since the 1860s, the first commercial dolphinarium was opened only in 1938.This charm tested as 800 silver and has the maker's initials marked ST. SH and measures ½” in height x ½” wide x 7/8” in length. There are mold marks on both sides of the charm but does not distract from the charm as these photos are highly magnified to show all flaws. This would make a great gift for someone special or for your own collection!
