These sterling silver puffy "faith, hope and charity charms are certainly a very rare item from the 1800s. They are from France and each charm is very ornately embellished with a different design. The cross measures 1 1/8" long with the bail ring by 3/4" wide. The anchor measures 7/8" long with the bail ring by 5/8" wide. The flaming heart measures 7/8" long with the bail ring by 1/2" wide. Quite stunning in person! They are soldered together on a thin silver jump ring that measures 9mm x 7mm and stamped with two tiny hallmarks which I cannot make out and tested as silver. The acid test turned a crimson red possibly a 900 silver content. They would make a nice addition to your necklace or for a collector. In my photographs, there appear to be red marks on the charm which is not there when I look at them with a jewelers loop. It is just the reflection or just the angle I took the photos.
