This is an early 1900's bar pin. It is signed P.S. Co. on the safety pin early clasp. The design features gold filled links with the top half smooth and the bottom of the links with a rough swirled texture. There are dangling chains with a center textured ball. The closure is a tube hinge with a safety pin clasp soldered to the frame. There is a bend to the pin stem but functions fine. It is a heavier well constructed piece.
P.S. Co. stands for the Plainville Stock Co. located in Plainville, Ma. Dates from 1884 to the present. The company is now only making fine jewelry and findings.
