This is an Art Deco rhinestone oval brooch dating to the 1930's. It is made of pot metal, a metal popular during the war times due to lack of other resources. It has an open abstract design. The center features a row of baguette stones with row of chaton rhinestones. At the edges are half flowers. The closure is an early safety roll over clasp. There is some finish loss on the reverse and on the pin stem consistent with age. The stones show are bright and with a lot of sparkle. Size is 1 1/4 inches in width by 2 1/4 inches in length.
