The jabot pin was originally designed to hold the ruffled jabot on a 17th century's gentleman's shirt. Later it was designed to be used as a ladies brooch, jeweled at each end that shows material between each end. This piece dates to the 1940's with an Art Deco design. It unscrews with a larger end and smaller end encrusted with pave set crystal rhinestones. The finish is silver tone with some patina. Size is 1 inch in width by 3 1/4 inches in length. This piece could also be used as a hat pin. It is in very good condition with bright sparkling rhinestones.
