This is an early 1900's scatter pin. It is an open oval shape with a center thistle. The thistle consist of two leaves with a gold tone cross hatched base sporting a single faceted amber glass bead. There are minor specks on the finish when viewed through a loupe. The finish is bright gold tone. The closure is a simple C clasp with a straight pin stem. There are initials W.Bs on the pin stem for Ward Brothers, Birmingham England. This mark was used from 1889 until 1965. This is a cute Scottish pin that would look great on a lapel. Size is 1 inch in width by 1 1/4 inches in length.
