This is an unusual circular brooch dating to the 1950's - 1960's. It has a tiered design. The outer edge features red cabochons with a silver tone backing and a reflective finish. Extending from these cabochons are pink rectangular stones. Atop these pink stones and alternating with the lower cabochons are deep blue navette rhinestones. The focal point is a faceted square smoky watermelon stone. The rhinestones are prong set. The cabochons are glued to a filigree gold tone base. The closure is a safety locking box clasp securely glued to the frame. There is a bale for attachment to a chain (chain in not included) for use as a pendant if desired. Size is 2 inches in diameter. This colorful brooch is in very good condition.
