This is a lovely Edwardian gold filled bar pin dating to the early 1900's. The top section has a textured finish with a taille d'epergne curling heart shaped design. In the center and atop this bar is a raised gold filled open piece with center seed pearls. One seed pearl has been replaced and is faux and slightly larger. The other is original and genuine. This top section is soldered to a gold filled base. The seams are secure. The closure is a wide C clasp with a t hinge. There is an intentional bend in the pin stem and a small ring on the reverse that probably has a safety chain at one time. There is light patina. This bar pin is in very good condition. Size is 1/2 inch in width by 2 inches in length. Weight is 10.6 grams.
