This is a pair of signed Boucher half domed clip back earrings. They have a open striped design with white enamel. The frame finish is gold tone. The clips are tight and secure. They are in excellent condition. Size is 1 1/4 inches in width by 1 1/4 inches in length with a height of 5/8 inch for a dimensional effect.
Boucher was founded in 1937 by Marcel Boucher and Arthur Halberstadt in Manhattan, NY as the Marcel Boucher, Ltd Novelty Jewelry Company. In 1949, Sandra joined the company as Marcel's assistant. Sandra had worked as an assistant director for Harry Winston. Sandra and Marcel married in 1961. Marcel died six weeks later. Sandra sold the business to Irving Ornstein of Davorn Industries in 1970.
