This is a Victorian late 1800's gold filled brooch. It is square in design with four individual compartments each containing a gold tone framed garnet stone. The center features a ornate piece also containing a centrally located tiny garnet. There are three gold tone balls on each of the squares. There appears to be one missing ball. Also the compartments are not totally squared and tilt inward. The closure is a C clasp soldered to a base wire square. There is a bend to the extended pin stem. There is a safety stick pin on a 2 1/2 chain. A clutch (end piece) will be included. Size of the brooch is 1 inch in diameter. The stick pin is 1 1/4 inch in length. There is some patina. This piece is in good condition with a few issues considering its age.
