This is a classic signed Krementz brooch with blue enamel Forget Me Not flowers. Each flower has a pearl center. The lower small pearls are genuine. The top pearl is a replaced imitation pearl; however, it looks identical to the lower pearls. There are green enamel leaves. This flower design is centered in a filigree 14kt gold over lay frame. The closure is a silver tone safety roll over clasp soldered to the frame with a straight pin stem that bears the Krementz name. This is characteristic of Krementz jewelry. This brooch is in very good condition. Size is 1 1/8 inches in width by 1 3/8 inches in length.
Krementz was founded in Newwark,NJ in 1866 when 5 men formed a company to manufacture jewelry. In 1922 George Krementz and Julius Lebkeucher joined their families into Krementz and Co.
