This is an early large Egyptian Revival brooch. It has some indistinguishable marks but does test as sterling silver. The focal point is a scenic design of Egypt with the Sphinx, Pyramids, palm tree and sun cut outs. This piece is set in a scrolling beaded frame. It is in very good condition with some patina. The closure is a curled C clasp soldered to the frame with a straight pin stem. Dates to the early 1900's. Beautifully detailed piece. Size is 2 inches in diameter.
