Cast Iron Post Light. This light has some good age and was probably made in a blacksmith shop. Starting at the top there is a cast eagle set on a ¾" bolt through the canopy. The canopy is a six sided one piece heavy cast shape measuring 1/8" or better at the edges. The six sided glass panels are trimmed with gothic arches and individually cast and then assembled and bolted together. One panel is easily removable to replace bulbs. The base again is cast in one piece with a ¾ " threaded exit hole. It measures 32" tall by 15 " wide. I have mounted it on a plumbing nipple and a pipe flange. It has been fitted with a new bulb tree with all solid brass parts and rewired. This is a vintage monumental lighting fixture ready to adorn and illuminate the finest home or business.
