This is a Chinese red and white tea pot made by Hall China. This is part of the "Sani-Grid" kitchen line by Hall, which was introduced in 1941. This teapot is about 5 and 1/2" high to lid, and is about 4 and 1/2" to spout. The width across the pot is about 7 1/2 inches; the lid fits into the top .There are no chips, cracks, scratches or color loss in this pot and no crazing or repairs. It does have a firing fault in the lid. It is simply a line where there was an imperfection in the porcelain, and the glaze seeped in. The picture makes it look a bit exaggerated, the teapot displays very pretty. It could easily be filled with red enamel and disappear. Priced accordingly, as is. One of the favored colors among collectors of Hall china ware.
