Arthur Bowker pursued his dream of creating beautiful fine china figures after working as a decorator in other Staffordshire shops. From 1948 to 1958, he was able to successfully produce a line of figures and wares until changes in import and export policies drove him out of business. So we have just ten years of production from a small manufacturer. This well made figure has lots of detail and certainly rivals Royal Doulton in quality. He's in excellent shape with only a short, hard to see hairline or craze line on the base on either side of the firing hole, nothing detracting or compromising of the figure. He measures 7 1/4 inches tall.
