A very well done rip off of a Toby, but it's a cup and saucer! Marked occupied Japan, so we know that it was made from 1947 to 1952. The expression and detail are very good. He looks suspiciously like a Royal Doulton "Old Charlie" head Toby, but we can't call him that, so we'll call him "Old Dirtbag". Someone suggested he was Earl Grey, and he kind of looks like him, but we just don't know. In any case he's in great condition, no chips, cracks or damage, just expected crazing on the interior. Someone drank their Earl Grey tea from this cup, apparently quite a few times. Full size cup and saucer.
