Please note this is the large size figurine, not the 8.5 inch version (we also have an outstanding color version of this size in our inventory). One of the best and well loved German Karl Tutter sculptures, the Sun Child is delicately modeled and distinctly Art Deco in style. The particular art house backstamp on this piece dates it from 1955 to 1968; the design of this sculpture dates to the late 1930s. No chips, cracks or damage; the gold is fabulously intact and the colors are vibrant and rich. Large size measuring about 13 inches inches (33cm) tall. Outstanding! Look for other Art Deco pieces in our collection from other great European factories - we always try to get the best, true vintage pieces for our collectors. Note that the base on this sculpture is comprised on two separate pieces, with a lock mechanism and usually joined with some plaster or white clay at the seam. This is normal for all of these vintage sculptures, in their various sizes and colors.
