This gorgeous box is simple and elegant; it is made of very uniform colored rosewood, with a red velour interior, a shou (long life) character craved on the top, and some interior sandalwood that makes the box smell smell wonderful when open. The box dates to approximately 1980. It is is immaculate condition. The construction is very high quality with precise joined edges. The wood is absolutely beautiful and just seems to glow! Measures 10" long, 2.75" tall and 4" deep, a medium sized jewelry box. Truly excellent!
