A tiny couple whirl about to an unknown strain of music, the intro reminiscent of "Starry, Starry Night" by Don McLean. She wonders, "Will it last, being married to a mime?" Meanwhile he makes "trapped in a box" gestures, saying nothing. Little do they realize that they will be together forever in their glittery little ballroom. The only thing that could disrupt their dizzy fate would be the destruction of the box, and we've prevented that, with a few minor repairs and some work to remove oxidation on the finish. Nearly as good as new, their home should last another 50 years or more - if someone decides to care for it. C1960s. We repaired a tight crack on top, doesn't distract, box looks great and works fine. Interior shows a little fading and staining but great overall. Compartments! Unique, to be sure. Jewelry box size, about 10 1/2 inches long. We replaced the lock mechanism, someone broke into it years ago, and we don't have a key. We don't want to lock them away in the darkness.
