This lovely jewelry display casket features and intricately cast frame and thick beveled glass windows. The hinge is sturdy and works well. The brass casting is top quality - do not confuse this with the cheap stamped metal imitations of this type of box that were made mid 20th century. This is truly great antique workmanship, perfect displaying fine jewelry. Circa late 19th century, 1880 to 1900. This is a larger box, with five round beveled windows. The case and glass are in perfect shape save wear to the gilding, with a great patina that makes it lovelier than new! Interior was replaced at some point in its life, and it is clean and unfaded. Simply great. Measures 6 and 1/4 inches on each side, and 4 inches tall - a nice roomy box.
