An unusual vintage Kewpie, licking up a leg. We looked up a little info on Brinn's China and Glassware Company of Philadelphia and it looks like they sold items to department stores, and it seems they mostly outsourced their designs to manufacturers in Taiwan and Japan. We believe based on the label that this was made in the 1960s or 70's. We looked at the last known address for the company on Penn Avenue, and sadly, there was a hair salon and a lot of empty windows with for rent signs. The last item that we saw with their label was in the 1980s. Sigh.
Oh. The Kewpie is in excellent shape with no damage and is 4 1/2 inches tall. Different!
