A puddingstone snuff bottle, antique, so named because of the collection of colored minerals in a host stone, resembling a pudding. Rounded, flattened form, tapering to a raised foot. Mask handles with mock rings are carved on each side. This snuff bottle is ironstone, with inclusions of opal. The bottle is well and deeply hollowed. The stopper is rose quartz, and the collar is pinkish orange shell. C1800-1900, Qing dynasty. The bottle measures 2.4 inches (6.1 cm) to the top of the stopper. The bottle has no condition issues.
