A rare famille noir porcelain antique Chinese snuff bottle. Baluster form, with auspicious imperial five claw cavorting dragon in green overglaze, and ocarefully done black cobble-work to complete the effect. Rarely seen colors. Bottle itself measures 2.9 inches (7.4 cm). Beautiful ruby top with vinyl collar (can be vulcanized rubber ceramic, or shellac resin, or alkalid vinyl or similar period material, usually referred to collectors as "vinyl"). Condition: expected minor wear, but excellent over all. No damage. Late Qing to early republic period, C1900.
