Here's a lovely and very old vase, in bulbous form with thread decoration, very early, of thin hand blown cobalt glass with an open pontil. Ash, bubbles, and other imperfection are seen in the glass batch as early pieces are known to have. Skillfully worked, none the less. Significant wear to the very bottom from age. The vase itself is free of chips cracks or damage. Likely European but possibly from the eastern United States. The design itself, ironically, will remain timeless because it was so tastefully rendered! Measures 4 and 1/2 inches tall and 4 and 1/4 inches in diameter. A pretty bit of history for your home!
