A vintage 1950's platinum ring in immaculate condition.
I'm afraid I was unable to capture the true beauty of this ring, but rest assured it is stunning to behold in person and will leave you in awe.
The natural 6 ray star sapphire measures 12.28mm x 12.36mm x 8.92mm with a carat weight of 13.5. The rays are very apparent in person with the naked eye, though not seen in the photos, in a beautiful grayish violetish blue and is surrounded by a halo of sparkling diamonds. 16 brilliant cut diamonds with a total carat weight of 1.80, G-H in color, VS-SI clarity.
The ring measures 21mm in diameter and rises 12mm in a US size 7 with a total weight of 13.7 grams.
The ring will come with a certification of authenticity from GAL, a very reputable lab that is conservative in their appraisals, one of few that don't inflate the value. In other words, if you were to have this ring appraised elsewhere, it will be appraised for a higher value. The lab only provides unbiased appraisals, using state of the art equipment, and only employs GIA graduates. They are located in the diamond district of NYC, and have given this beauty a replacement value of $8,100.00.
