These Art Deco earrings are as unique as they get. True show stoppers that can't help but be noticed. One of my finest collectibles that is truly stunning to behold in excellent vintage condition. I imagine these belonging to a grand lady, pure opulence right out of the Great Gatsby.
The posts are rather unique, the fabulous diamonds are somewhat triangular with rounded bottoms totaling approximately 1.05ctw, VS clarity H-I color. The posts are followed by 16 baguettes that are channel set with 2 more larger baguettes on top of the bottom dangles, a total of 18 baguette cut diamonds approximately 1.6ctw, also VS clarity H-I color. The bottom dangles are beautifully ornate with 90 round Old European cut diamonds, another 12 on the top and bottom ends of the long bars, a total of 102 Old European cuts with an approximate weight of 5.86ctw, VS to SI clarity, H-I-J color.
A truly fine collectible piece with that opulent red carpet look, crafted in fine platinum, unmarked but tested as such with a total weight of 18.65 grams combined. Overall length is approximately 2.25".
These beauties will come with a certification of authenticity from GAL, a very reputable lab that is conservative in their appraisals, one of few that don't inflate the value. The lab only provides unbiased appraisals, using state of the art equipment, and only employs GIA graduates. They are located in the diamond district of NYC, and have given this beauty a replacement value of $19,500. The appraisal is based solely on the value of the diamonds and platinum, not taking into consideration its collectible value, which would make the value significantly higher.
