For your consideration is a 14K white and yellow gold c1920s ring set with a 0.57 carat transitional cut diamond. The diamond is consistent with the 1920s transitional cut diamond in which the table is larger than an old mine cut and contains the full 58 facets. This diamond faces up very nice with a lot of brilliance, a clarity of VVS2 to VS1, and G – I color. The setting exhibits early 20th Century elements of style including a semi-suspended white gold top affording an open view of the diamond from the side of the ring. A wonderful matched 1920s period setting and period cut diamond. The elements of style have been so well balanced that the ring looks great on the hand of a man or woman (we experimented with it).
Due to wear, the diamond was removed and the prongs re-tipped. The ring is currently a size 10.5 (easily re-sizable), measures 11.6 mm width on top, weighs 5.0 grams, and is hallmarked 14K. The ring has been professionally checked and cleaned.
