14K yellow gold (unmarked-tested by acid and electronic),ca.1960's. Measures 1.52" wide and weighs 15.9gms. Nice even wear on both sides. Probably a reliquary that allowed the front and back to slide open and allow the owner to insert an item of importance, hence the rivet hinge. It no longer opens (more than likely it's glued shut). The bail has been reinforced with gold due to its wearing thin over the years. This is probably where the gold quality marks were. Beautiful bloomed matte background. Excellent condition with wear consistent with age.
