Elgin 16j wristwatch, ca.1945. Head is 29.10mm wide and would be considered unisex size in today's fashion. Has a sweep second hand with split second markings on the dial and has a hack function. When the stem is pulled out the second hand stops. This allows "to the second setting". Probably used by someone who took pulse readings. Has been completely stripped down, cleaned, inspected and tested to insure many years of accurate timekeeping. There is a tiny spot on the otherwise clean dial near the 6:00 point. Beautiful condition. The new USA expansion band measures 7.5" (at rest) including the watch's head.
