This beautiful antique pitcher was made by the Chesapeake Pottery Company in Baltimore Maryland. The pottery opened in 1880 and closed in 1914. It measures 9" tall and is 7 5/8" from the spout to the handle. This pitcher is part of the very decorative Haynes Ware line of pottery, and features the Sand Piper decoration. There is very good color and detail on this pitcher. The colors are very vivid. There is some wear to the gold trim along the edge of the pitcher as well as the handle. There is also some damage to the rim. A small crack with a small chip that is still in place. I have shown this damage in the photos. The price reflects the condition of this rare early American antique pottery piece. There is also some crazing due to the age of the piece. Please email me with any questions.
