Lovely mid 19th century paper mache doll which collectors sometimes refer to as a "Pauline." She is on her original pink kid French body. She has a dark brown human hair wig which looks original to me. Black painted hair spot under wig, 3 wig sew holes.
She is dressed in cotton unders, gown, and leather shoes which I think were probably collector added at some point in her long life.
Maker: unknown, probably German made head for French market on French body
Condition: very good, minor paint wear on face. Eyes, mouth and brows are original, nose looks like it has had minor touch up at some point. Wig is full and clean. Clothing exhibit slight wear.
Kid body is soft and clean, one hand shows slight wear, pink tone of the kid has faded in the exposed areas as one would expect on this type of doll.
