This pair of dolls is practically too cute for words! Effanbee released Little Brother and Sister in 1943. These dolls are wearing their original outfits. I did not want to remove them for fear of disturbing the little bows at their wrists or the laces of their shoes, but they are in wonderful condition. The paint on their composition heads is clean, bright and unimpaired. I adore the floss wigs used during this war era production. Can't say enough about how sweet these two are!
Size: 12" & 15"
Marks: molded Effanbee mark on lower rear of heads.
Condition: Very good, no cracks, crazing or splits to the heads, compo hands are good, cloth bodies are clean. The overall look of the dolls is not bright clean enough for me to say "mint" but the level of wear is so low I would really call it " patina" related to their age rather than anything else. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
