Rare Multi Size Sewing Needle Case Sterling Chatelaine

A rare and amazingly detailed antique chatelaine Sterling sewing needle case with a scroll design and near the top are numbered 5 through 9. The top lid has a small hole on top and an arrow on its side which when turned over needle number that needle is dispensed from the case. Does not unscrew or come apart I would have loved to see the compartments on the inside. No seam and heavy.

Marked: Sterling on bottom 18th-19th century

Condition: Excellent. Turns freely either way. Gently polished with cloth not dipped. All items in our store are vintage, used and have history. We gently polish or clean items to show the beauty but may need some additional cleaning upon arrival. All angles, details and size in pictures.
