“THE LOOK” on this vintage 1920's lady is so eloquent in a combination of checking out someone, perhaps flirting, perhaps just wondering about someone, but it is definitely related to someone.
In looking at these amazing items over a long period of time, I just realized that I have never seen any redheads, most of them seem to be blondes and yet this is the second one in the collection I’ve ben dealing with that has red hair. The other one listed right now also happens to be a redhead.
Her hat is specially well done out of stiff felt, same material that was used for people hats. Definitely a flapper all dressed up with a tie that was popular among the fashion oriented modern girls of the early part of the 20th century...This was a statement.
Hat Stand ladies at the top of the pole a lot of times were not covered up when on display, they would hold the smaller hats that sometimes had veils and if they were covered, they were meant to create amusement and ease when the hat was removed for the client to try on.
Excellent vintage condition. The extreme close up photos show some normal aging to the patina and, some lighter spots that are just on the photos as the face catches light but in person none of this is readily visible unless looking for it under extreme light with a magnifying glass.. She displays beautifully.
