Black Kammer and Reinhardt celluloid socket head baby doll, small 10 inch cabinet size, mold number 728. The baby has its original black mohair wig, open mouth with two teeth, glass eyes on composition body. The baby is dressed in a white raw silk kimono with white diaper and old red ribbon. I did not completely undress the baby as it would destroy the ribbon.

Celluloid head has small split at the top of its head that extends down approximately 3/8 inch in back. Mold seam on right side of head. Residual glue on rim of head where the wig was glued. Please see photos. The baby has sleep eyes that do not completely close when he is laid down.

No damage noted to body. His body is jointed at shoulders and hips. Lustrous original paint to body with no damage to fingers.

Date: Circa 1910

Marks: K Star R 728/0 Germany 25/27

Size: 10 inches tall

Condition: Head has small crack at back rim that extends 3/8 inches down back of head. Sleep eyes do not completely close when laying down. Mold line on right side of head. No damage to body with beautiful original finish. No damage to fingers. Did not completely undress doll as antique ribbon would be destroyed. Please see photos
