Engraved tatting shuttle marked GermSilver Circa 1900. This shuttle is made of German Silver or Nickel Silver which is a metal alloy of copper, zinc and nickel. It contains no elemental silver. The metal is bright, shiny and is harder and has fewer issues with corrosion. German silver was invented in the 19th century by a German man named E.A. Geitner. This shuttle has beautiful engraving on both sides with foliate branches and flowers.

Condition: Very good, used condition with some very fine scratches as pictured on very close inspection. The shuttle is bright and shiny and very attractive
