Ceramic figural pretzel flask circa 1900. These novelty flasks were used for whiskey and were manufactured between 1890 and 1910. This flask features a salted pretzel and is a very textural and fun piece. It has its original cork which has a convenient metal holder for easy access.
The flask has a nicely repaired chip to the flask opening which can be seen in the last two pictures. There are also two small spots where the glaze is absent on back as well as a stray 'salt'. Other than the salt, the back feels smooth and I believe these to have been present at time of manufacture. These flasks are uncommon. I am listing three other ceramic figural flasks that belonged to an antique dealer.
Size: 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches 7/8 inches thick
Condition: Repaired chip to opening of flask as pictured. Two small areas where glaze is not present on back which appears to be manufacturing flaw. Original cork. Overall, excellent condition with repaired rim.
