Antique French trinket box with hand-painted Kate Greenaway style figures. The top of the box features a little girl sitting on a fence. The bottom features children in a rural outdoor setting including two geese, a boy with a horn, a girl carrying a daisy chain and a little girl with two bouquets of flowers. The children are dressed in the style of the famous illustrator Kate Greenaway. The porcelain box has a brass mount on the top and bottom and sits on four ball feet. The lid closes tightly.
The box will not open more than 45 degrees as shown in the photo, otherwise no condition issues to note. The construction of the box is consistent with French boxes of this era
