Antique miniature enamel gold gilt metal dollhouse furniture, four pieces circa 1900. The furniture is made of metal and embellished with gold gilding and enamel decorations. The designs are highly intricate. These four pieces of miniature furniture consists of two sets. The first set consists of an armchair and a two seat couch. The arms and legs of these pieces are made of twisted metal wire. The second set of pieces consist of an armless chair and table which also have twisted metal legs. These two pieces are highly enameled with exquisite detailing. These miniature dollhouse pieces are a smaller scale and perfect for small bisque dolls. Though delicate, they are much heavier than soft metal pieces of the same era. The workmanship is wonderful. Though not a set, these four pieces look wonderful together. The dolls pictured with the furniture are to show scale and are not included in the sale. The standing doll is approximately 3 inches tall.
Date: Circa 1900
Size: Chair with arms 2.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide, Couch is 3.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall. Chair without arms is 2.75 inches tall and table is 1.5 inches tall.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and useage. Some loss of gold gilding most notable in front legs of armless chair. The gold gilt has mellowed with age and is not as bright as the underside of the pieces which is to be expected. No breakage to the medal or repair. The enamel is in excellent condition and is brighter in the armless chair and table. Please see photos.
