Outstanding necklace features 12 strands of beads. Can be worn as a 16” long choker when twisted, or 17” worn draped. The colors are absolutely fantastic - coral bead colors are mottled and blended, and to me resemble the way some apples look in their shadings. Definitely not red, but with shading from a bit of reddish orange to a touch of soft buttery yellow. They are slightly irregular in shape and many look like they have glass blended in. Beads are semi smooth – to the naked eye they appear smooth, but when viewed under magnification, they appear to be porous. Viewing these beads using a loupe or magnifying glass is truly a wonderful experience. They are gorgeous. They have a soft semi glow or shine - they are neither too glossy nor too matte. Beads are large, approximately 3/8” in diameter.
There are many newer beaded necklaces that have the same type of much smaller beads and they always have the usual simple ‘hook’ clasp. Then clasp closure on this beauty is quite different. A lot more attention has gone into creating a comfortable clasp that locks in and is virtually invisible. Fits great and looks great not only from the front, but from the back as well. This necklace is an absolute stunner! I think the black ends are some type of plastic and the coloring is a bit of uneven in places, but virtually un noticeable when worn.
